The farewell hall
This policy explains the purposes of cookies and similar browser storage on this website, and how to change your choices.
Necessary storage and display preferences
Strictly necessary cookies support functions such as secure form submission. Storage that is strictly necessary for a service you request does not require consent. Blocking it through your browser can affect that service.
The website also remembers your consent choice and display preferences.
- zl_consent: first-party local storage holding your consent choice.
- zl_display_preferences: first-party local storage holding text-size and other display settings.
These local-storage entries have no expiry set in the site code. They remain until cleared by you or your browser, or changed by the site.
Analytics and marketing
Analytics
Analytics helps us understand which pages are used and where the website can be improved. Optional analytics storage requires your consent.
Marketing
Marketing measurement helps identify which advertising led to an enquiry. Optional marketing storage requires your consent.
The site's measurement code includes the following first-party storage:
- zl_attr: a cookie recording campaign information, with an expiry of 90 days when written.
- zl_vid: a browser identifier held in local storage, with no expiry set in the code.
- Session storage with names beginning zl_: information about how a visit began, retained for the browser tab's session.
Change or withdraw your choice
Use Cookie settings in the website footer to reopen the choice controls. You can also remove cookies and local storage through your browser's site-data settings. Removing stored preferences may mean you are asked again.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal. Declining optional analytics and marketing must not prevent you from reading the site or contacting the funeral home.
The use of information you provide in an enquiry or funeral arrangement is described separately.
