The farewell hall

Embalming is preservative treatment intended to temporarily slow natural changes in the body after death. It differs from washing, dressing or cosmetic preparation. At Złoty Liść, you can discuss whether it is appropriate; it is not a standard part of every funeral.

Begin with a conversation and assessment

Explain the farewell you have in mind, whether you are considering a viewing and the proposed date. You can ask about options before deciding on treatment. The person responsible for preparation explains the proposed scope and what can reasonably be expected in your relative’s circumstances.

What the film covers

A member of our team explains the attention given to your loved one’s natural appearance before the farewell.

Agree the details before proceeding

  • The purpose and proposed scope.
  • Who will carry out the preparation and what consent is needed.
  • The full cost and preparation time.
  • How it relates to the planned farewell.

Clothing and belongings can be discussed as part of ordinary preparation.

Special circumstances

Mention international transport, a post-mortem examination or other investigations before agreeing treatment. The sequence and requirements need coordination with those responsible.
