What goes into funeral costs in Warsaw

Ask for each agreed service to be named, with its price and any conditions. A useful estimate lets you see what would change if you chose a different ceremony or coffin.

• Collection, transport and care before the funeral.
• A coffin, or a cremation coffin and urn.
• Cremation, if chosen, and any chapel time.
• Preparation for a viewing, if requested and suitable.
• Ceremony arrangements, printed notices and other selected services.

Złoty Liść owns the crematorium at ul. Fosa 19a. Its cremation charge belongs with its own services when that facility is used. Any outside provider should be identified separately.

Ask the cemetery administration to confirm the cost and availability of a grave or niche, burial arrangements and any work needed on an existing grave. Having a family grave does not by itself establish which charges apply.

• Identify the cemetery and give the grave reference, if available.
• Check whether opening, closing or stonework is included.
• Include a parish, celebrant or hired venue if separately charged.
• Record who collects each payment and when it is due.

Compare estimates using the same cemetery and ceremony choices. A lower subtotal can simply contain fewer items.

Add the funeral home's charges and all external charges. Then deduct only benefits or other contributions confirmed for your case. Keep payments already made separate so you do not count them twice.
