Use the written estimate for your arrangements. Keep any charges that are still unknown on a separate list; a blank input does not mean the service is free.
Enter the costs you know
- Enter the funeral director’s quoted charges once, including the services already covered.
- Add only other charges excluded from that quote, such as separate cemetery or parish fees.
- In the third field, enter the combined amount of confirmed benefits and other contributions you intend to use.
The total updates as you type. A blank contribution field deducts nothing. Leave an expected benefit out until its amount and your eligibility are confirmed.
Read the result
The calculator adds the first two fields and subtracts the confirmed contribution. It shows the remaining amount to fund, with a minimum of zero. If your contributions exceed the entered costs, zero does not establish a refund or an extra payment.
It does not separately track deposits or payments already made. For this calculation, enter the full quoted charges and include any confirmed funding in the contribution field once. Keep payment dates and the amount still payable to each provider on your written estimate.
